Editing Guidelines

Business Phones Direct hosts and maintains Tele-Wiki as an informational resource to our consumers and the general public. Though much of the information is authored by BPD staff, we are thankful for any contributions by the telecommunications community. With that in mind we ask that contributors adhere to a number of simple guidelines in order to minimize commercial promotion and other forms of spam that negatively impact end user experience.

Commercial Links
- Please ensure that any hyperlinks you add are relevant to a given article. Hyperlinks to commercial websites related to telecommunications - such as those of vendors, installers, or manufacturers - may be added to the wiki BUT we ask that such links be restricted to Telecommunications Companies section of the site.
- For example if you are a vendor of the Norstar M7208 phone, please do not place a hyperlink to your website on the Norstar M7208 article.
- Please do not place a hyperlink in the top level Telecommunications Companies category.
- Please place the link only after navigating the telecommunications companies category, selecting the appropriate type of company (for example Vendor), selecting an appropriate location (for example United States, then California), and placing your company information on this page.
