Nortel Products

Nortel Networks manufactures telecommunications and networking hardware including business telephone systems, phones, routers, switches, and software. There products are designed for and sold almost exclusivly to a business audience but Nortel's product line covers offices of almost any size: phone systems scale from 3 line Norstar 308 systems to large scale PBX's.

History of Nortel Networks

Nortel Networks legacy spans over 100 years as a producer of electronics phone systems and telecommunications equipment. Originally launched as a spinoff from Bell Canada - Nortel has merged several times resulting in a number of name changes including Nortel or Nortel Networks (1995-present), Northern Telecom (1976-1995), and Northern Electric (1895-1976). Currently Nortel, Avaya, and Cisco dominate the market for Business Phones and Systems.
